A man buys eggs at the rate of Tk. 7.2 per dozen eggs and sells them at taka 70 per 100 eggs. If his profit is Tk. 30, how many eggs did he buy?

Let the number of eggs he bought be D.
Buying price per egg = 7.2/12
Selling price per egg = 70/100
So, 70D/100 - 7.2D/12 = 30
or, 7D/10 - 7.2D/12 = 30
or, (42D - 36D) / 60 = 30
or, 6D = 60 x 30
or, D = 1800 / 6 = 300.
